Happiness is often regarded as the most important virtue in everyone’s lives. Some people it is more important to serve other’s happiness than it is to do things to make yourself happy. I believe it is more important to do things that make me happy.
First of all, I personally think wanting the others- family or friends- to cheer him or her up is creating the nuisance. I think everybody should be responsible for their own happiness, since it is very selfish wanting other to give happiness. I also don’t feel bad by not cheering a gloomy person up, since it is not my duty to make people happy
Second of all, I would lose my happiness if I overly do things to make others happy. One time I saw my classmate lent a textbook for the guy she had a crush on and got scolded by teacher for not bringing her textbook. I thought my classmate’s had a hole in her head, since she abandoned her happiness by serving other’s happiness.
To sum up, I think it is a bad idea to overly do things to make others happy, because people are responsible for their happiness, and my happiness would be taken if I only think of other’s happiness.
