The last time I had to speak in public in front of a large group was just a year ago. I was doing presentations for my school projects. Though there were only thirty people, I was very nervous about speaking. However, I acted as I was very calm.

The time I had to speak was last December. The social studies teacher gave all the students a project about what the students like. I chose the topic instantly, but I prepared for the presentation for a long time, probably about a week. I made PowerPoint, and wrote scripts I had to read during the presentation. Then it was finally the day of speaking. I watched my classmates’ presentations thinking that it was awful. However, when I stood at the front of the classroom, I then was able to understand why my friends spoke in a horrible way. I was freaked out and was scared by the eyes watching and listening to me. I started my presentation but was still nervous. On the other hand, I pretended as I was the professional speaker and pretended as I was calm. That way, I presented very well and everyone loved my speech. I was able to achieve my dream grade, A plus.

To sum up, the time that I had to speak in public in front of a large group was the time that I had to present my project about what I like. Although I prepared exhaustively enough, I was still very nervous. However, I acted as I have a profession about speaking, thus did very well on my presentation.
