We will publish the list of winners on Monday, March 5th, 2018.

- Most viewed video Prize (for Teacher's Prize Winners): Award: Won 60,000.-

The clicks for a participant: Clicks on the festival board of our website (http://wf.aloud.kr) + clicks on YouTube + clicks on "LIKE button" on our website and YouTube.

- Most viewed video Prize (for non-winners): Award: Won 60,000.-

- Teacher's Prize

Award: Won 50,000.- (The teachers donate 10 dollars for the prize)

Our students don't need to worry, there are no judges. Teachers will choose the best submissions to win prizes. It is a secret though who has chosen whom. We just say to our students that our teachers chose the winner.

A text-only entry counts as half an entry, while a video or audio file with text is a full entry.

If you have a minimum of four entries, you can give out a teacher's prize. For every 4 entries that a teacher submits, they may choose one winner for a teacher's prize.

Example: if you have 8 student entries in the contest, you can give out 2 teacher's prizes.

It is acceptable for students to send a file with only audio or with a video that does not show their face. Students should only recite their submission on camera if they have memorized most of their text. If a student submits a video in which they are obviously reading a text, EnglishAloud may use the audio and replace the video with another image.

The amount of YouTube clicks accepted has a maximum of double the number of our website clicks (http://wf.aloud.kr) that the video receives. The maximum amount of our website clicks accepted is up to double the number of YouTube clicks, as well. If someone receives 50 clicks on our website and 150 clicks on YouTube, only 100 of the YouTube clicks are counted, with a total of: 150 clicks. If someone receives 150 clicks on our website and 50 clicks on YouTube, the total would be 150 clicks.

* Students should first post their entries onto their teacher’s board. The teacher will help them with editing. The teacher will then post the final submission onto the board beginning on December 1st: http://wf.aloud.kr

* English Aloud has the right to post all content from the contest on our website.

* EnglishAloud can send a webcam or a microphone instead of the cash awards, if the student's microphone or webcam is not good for class.

There are three selection processes to choose "Teacher's Prize" winners. This is to make it fair for all students. The first selection will be a few of the best entires chosen by EnglishAloud. The second selection will be by teachers, who choose one winner for each 4 entries they receive from their own students. The thrid selection will be from the remaining students from each teacher who have not won any prizes yet. This means the extra students between 4 and 8 from each teacher, or the students from teachers who have less than 4 entries.

Example #1: Teacher A has 6 entries, in the first round of selection all of these students have the possibility to win a prize. In the second round, Teacher A chooses the best of these students (that have not won a prize yet) and in the final round, the best two remaining entires from Teacher A could still have a chance to win.

Example #2: Teacher B has only 2 student entries. This means that they do not choose a student for a prize, but the 2 students are still able to win prizes in the first and third round of selections. They could still both win prizes, but the teacher does not choose a student prize in this case.
