Criminals are the people who breaks the law. Criminals are punished in a lot of ways ; long ago, they are tortured by tools. And today, most of the people are punished in two ways and those are first, penalty, second, going jail. But, think peo;le would be punish by other ways, too, and those are:
1. torturing like long ago
this is becausepeople would have to think that if they don`t want to be tortured, they would have to be careful about doing ` criminal` things.
2. death penalty
this has a same reoson with the first one, but this is used when they did more bad things.
In some countries, these laws are still going on, but most countries don`t.
