0. Small Talk

1, This is a webpage about some sample pages of our books and MP3 files that you can check. Our students can look at the sample pages of the books to choose a textbook. And we can download MP3 files for the books from the webpage:

http://ebooks.aloud.kr

This is a website of Oxford Owl Storybooks. First, you should click on one of the storybooks on the page and you will move to Oxford Owl. Please log in to the website, "Oxford owl," and come back to the page http://owls.aloud.kr.

2. Student cards: A student card should be completed by the teacher and Kevin, but the teacher is more responsible for the cards than Kevin. Thanks! You should update your student cards

2.1. If there is a new student: You make a card for the student as soon as possible. If it is a returning student, you should find the card in the folder "Your Old Students," copy it into your folder (Don't delete it in the folder, "Your Old students), and rename it, for example, KimRuby788 (KimRuby788_1809).

2.2. If your student starts a new book or material, please update that information. So Kevin knows what you are doing with your student eventually.

2.3. If one of your students leaves our school or leaves you to move to another teacher, update the card immediately. Student's FamilyFirstName_(another teacher if applicable)_Year_Month

2.4. If your student makes a new Skype id, you should update it on the card.

2.5. There is a control checking all the student cards four times a year Jan, April, July, October. You should update your student cards.

2.6. Only for Teacher Kat & Lynn (Because of some technical problems):

Download the cards from the folder and update them and send them back to Kevin through email. Whenever cards are updated, please send them to Kevin through email.

2.7. If you manage your student cards successfully, you will get some bonus points (max. 3 points.)

3. Teachers Party in April 2020 Topic: Talk about your hometown! Introduce your hometown. You can show pictures and short videos etc. What do you like about your hometown? What is special about your hometown? What is your favorite place? If you are living in another town, why did you leave your hometown? Penguins Party: April 29th at 7:00 PM (Melanie & Lynn) Dolphins Party: April 29th at 8:00 PM (Phoebe & Victoria) Parrots Party: April 29th at 9:00 PM (Mike)

3.1. Time Extension for the Teachers Parties:

If there are 6 or more students in one party, the party time will be extended to 40 minutes from 25 minutes (15 minutes more).

3.2. Teacher Party Organization The parties are no longer organized by English level. Now the only important factor for party groups is age. Students are put into their groups depending on their age.

Young students ages 7-9 are all in the Penguin group, ages 10-11 are in the Dolphin group, and students older than 11 are in the Parrot group. If the student is a beginner who cannot communicate well yet in English they do not get invited to any party, unless they especially ask permission from Kevin or their teacher if they can join.
