    I read this book because my mom recommend it.When I first saw the book cover,I wonder what 'kira-kira'is.I've never heard such a ward.But when I open the book and stared to read,my curios was solved.  

    (kira-kira maens glittering,shining in Japanese)This story is about Japanenes family.They lived in USA.There is Lynn,the first child and Katie,the second child and also the main character and Sam,the third kid.And also,mom ,dad,uncle,aunt,a lots of cousins,etc.

   At first,Katie's family lived in Iowa.Her parents ran a store But when store work's pay was not so good,they dicided to move to Gorgia.In Gorgia,the family lived with their uncle.At first,it was so hard to settle down.Kids in town and school i-gnored her just because Katie and Lynn was japanese.Children's parents were so busy.They wanted a house of their own,so,they have to work like crazy.Even if the situations were so dark and bad,Katie and Lynn, those sisters were depende-d on each other.I think that part of the story was the most beautiful.But then,the worst thing happend.Lynn was dead because of lymphoma.After dreadful few months after lynn's dead,Katie let go of her and started do things that Lynn offer to do before she passed away.

    I think this story is kira-kira because it was so beautiful.It was not an adventure story that make your hands sweaty   or sweet romans but it leaves placid emotion in my heart.Good writers can make readers cry or angry or happy and all.This book made me cry.
