Report the news!

Look through one or both of these English-language news sources (NPR News and/or BBC News). Listen and read as many stories as you like, and pick ONE news story to “report” on. Listen and read the story as many times as you need to, writing down key ideas, as well as new words and phrases. Then write the title of the article, the date, the website where you found the story, and a short summary of the article. Also, write any new words or phrases that you did not understand.

Article : Brazil cyclists lucky escape as car ploughs through

Summary:

In Brazil, a car drove through a group of cyclists who were staging a demonstration in Porto Alegre. This demonstration happens monthly as a protest against traffic in Brazil. The car hit more than 20 people, and nine were hospitalized. All of the cyclists survived. The man driving the car was 47, his son, age 15, was also in the car.
