Working time and efficiency of work

In Korea, it is very common to stay in a company for more than 10 hours. People used to believe that someone who woring for long time is very good worker. Is it true? I think also like that so that it may be correct. However, we can call him a good worker but not a good husband or friend. If I work for 12 hours a day, then I can comaplete more things than the person who work for 8 hours a day. Teachers said that hard worker's are usually good for his family and friends and it is correct sometimes. There were many stories of famous business man, which describe about their hard life when he was young. I don't know what is a good company worker but, I don't like to come home when my children are sleeping. Then, am I a bad worker?

On the other hands, people will recorgnize that when somebody has been working for 12 hours a day, someone will lost his job. At the same time, his family will be in a trouble.
