The right strategy for good students: all Korean students want to enter the best university in Korea: Seoul National University. To study at the university, a student should get the best scores. For most students, English is the most serious problem. To learn good English, students need to invest a lot of time. So if a student wants to enter, for example, Seoul National University, they should be almost done with English until the 9th grade. Otherwise it would be almost impossible. If a high school student didn’t need to study English for the entrance exams, the student will have a lot of time for other important subjects, for example math, social and nature sciences. Our students should study English hard to finish English for the entrance exams by the 9th grade. Even though there are important school tests, they should keep attending our school as usual, if the student is an elementary student or a middle school student. Studying English is more important than the school tests, if they are really interested in going to one of best universities in Korea or in the USA. Students should start earlier to prepare for the school tests, so they can attend our school without any problems. If a student thinks he or she is not well prepared, the student should come to our school as usual. Kevin told the parents all the time, and they agree with me in general, but the students are so nervous that they don’t want to come to our school for two or even four weeks. Please tell your students: “Take it easy” and learning English at our school is more important than the school tests, if the student is not a high school student. Our students should study at one of the best universities later. So they should study English hard, even though they don’t have much time to prepare for the school tests. Ours students should be more ambiitious.
