My family flew from Incheon International Airport in South Korea to Siem Reap International Airport in Cambodia on July 2009. It was a special day because I was going to Cambodia. About 5 hours later, my family arrived in Cambodia. My family went to a hotel and we stayed there for one day. On the second day in Cambodia, my family went shopping for souvenirs for family members in South Korea. We then took many tours of historical temples including Angkor Wat. Some of the temples were located on a mountain. It was hard to see these temples, but when I saw them, they were very beautiful. I think these temples are wonderful because they are hard to build and they are very large. The guide for our tours was very kind and knowledgeable so we could understand him very easily. 
 
After our visit to many historical temples, we ate Cambodian food. Cambodian food is very similar to Vietnamese food. My mother and I did not think the food was very delicious. After our meal, we went back to the hotel and decided to stay for another day.
 
On the third day, my family helped Cambodian children make rice with vegetables, meat and corn. The children were poor and my family made the food for them for free. Afterwards, my family went to a jewel shop and my parents bought me a blue topaz jewel because it is my birth stone for the month of December. I really love my jewel because it is a memory of Cambodia and of its beauty.
 
My experiences in Cambodia were very interesting and I had a great time with my family. I hope that everyone has a chance to visit Cambodia because its historical temples are disappearing in their old age. The next trip that I will take I hope will be to France because I am learning French and I would love to practice it. I also would like to travel all around Europe someday.
