Homework: DUE THURSDAY March 1st

Write 4-5 sentences about a dream that you have had. As always please pay attention to the tense or form of verbs: (past, present, future) and try to make sure they are all the same. This will be in the past tense because when you write about the dream you will have already had it.

example: Last night I dreamed I was in a magical jungle. All of the plants in the jungle were alive! One plant had a big purple flower that looked like a dog's face. One plant had a bright pink flower with long scary teeth--it made the sound of a tiger and tried to eat me!

Homework:

Write a paragraph (4-5 sentences) that gives your opinion on the debate about the use of social networking sites for young people. Do you think social networking sites like facebook and twitter are positive? What are the benefits? Should there be any limits (for example: people under 13 should not use social networking sites or people should only use these sites for 10-20 minutes each day)?

Optional writing assignment: about a dream or goal you have for the future. It could be professional: as in 'I want to become a medical doctor...' or it could be about an experience you want to have in the future 'I have always dreamed of visiting Paris.'  Think very carefully about the form or tense of verbs (past? present? future?) you use in the paragraph. Describe the dream or goal and (if you have time) write about how you will make it a reality.
