HOMEWORK: due Tuesday February 28th

Write 4-5 sentences about a dream that you have had. As always please pay attention to the tense or form of verbs: (past, present, future) and try to make sure they are all the same. This will be in the past tense because when you write about the dream you will have already had it.

example: Last night I dreamed I was in a magical jungle. All of the plants in the jungle were alive! One plant had a big purple flower that looked like a dog's face. One plant had a bright pink flower with long scary teeth--it made the sound of a tiger and tried to eat me!

HOMEWORK: due Thursday the 26th

Please write 3-4 sentences (a paragraph) telling me about what you did/will do for the new year. You mentioned a family reunion at you grandparents: some things you might talk about are traffic, the trip, the family members you saw, what you ate, any games you played, how you felt etc.

example (in the future): This weekend I will travel to Vermont to see my family. I will visit my mother, my sister, and our beautiful dog,  Jasper. While I am* there we will make some delicious food and we will go to the mountain to ski. I will be very happy to spend time with my family!

example (in the past):  Last weekend I traveled to Vermont to see my family. I visited my mother. my sister, and our beautiful dog, Jasper. When I was there I made delicious food and went to the mount to ski. I was very happy to spend time with my family!

* 'am' this word is actually in present tense--but it makes sense with the meaning/structure of the paragraph.

Please write 4 sentences about the strangest thing you have ever eaten. Where were you and what culture does the food come from? Describe it: how did it smell, taste, and feel? Would you eat it again?
