2. Discuss the teachers' parties on the 29th last month

3. About small talk: Some students want to have no more small talk than hi and how are you. They don’t like the quesiton such as “What did you do today?”. Some teachers don’t think that it was good. But there are some reasons why they don't like long small talk. Students who speak English well tend not to translate from Korean into English when they talk in English. If they talk about their lives, they know they should do that hard work. They hate it.. It is really difficult to do that immediately. Another reason is if they explain their situation to the teacher, maybe, they think that the teacher does not understand it very much, or the teacher doesn’t listen to them carefully, because the teaher cannot understand or relate very much to the story. Short small talk is not a big problem.

A Suggestion: Almost all students at our school have mobile phones that have cameras. Students can take photos and show them to the teachers and explain them. They can explain their stories well with the photos. "Look, this is what I did today or yesterday". Students should have enough time to prepare to explain this in English. A good solution!
