As a teacher, you may come across students who are just beginning to learn English. Sometimes these classes can be difficult to teach, and the tools which teachers regularly employ for their more advanced students will not be applicable.
Students new to Enlish may find the class very difficult or even unenjoyable as their English is too basic to hold a smooth conversation. or perhaps even answer the questions asked of them. Forging a comfortable relationship in this situation can be very challenging.
For some students, English Aloud is their only method of learning English. (because the students are too young to attend academy, or perhaps adult students do not have enough time for multiple classes in their daily schedule)
To improve their English, students should study aproximately one hour a day. This is a responsibility which should fall upon the students. Giving homework can be one way of ensuring that the student takes time to study out of class.
At a more advanced level, learning English becomes much more enjoyable as the students no longer have to struggle with every word and to make him or herself understood.
