My Summer Story
Friday, Nov. 16th, 2013 written by Mickey
This year, I’d like to recall to one of my good memories that I enjoyed with my family in a zoo last summer. If you don’t mind, I’d like to start by saying something about my 3-year-old daughter. Since I got married a little late compared to my friends, she is the apple of my eye. Whenever she tags along with us to the market or other places outside, all the people that we meet on the street always tell us that she is the spitting image of me. I love to hear that, but my wife easily gets jealous or even pissed off every time she hears it. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that I’m really grateful for the blessings that God gave me in my life. I often used to regard myself as a person who was not entitled to have such an adorable baby and wise wife. Let's cut to the chase, starting from early this year, my baby showed her deep interest for some kinds of animals. We found it through a lot of picture-based books that she sticks to all the time. So we decided to take her to a zoo near to my house. To tell you the truth, we were first worried because most of the real animals in the zoo are big and not like she learns from her books. We thought she would be scared and start to cry when a lion or tiger appears close to her. You know what happened to her that time? Our fears turned out to be utterly groundless. She loved to watch almost all kinds of animals and even tried to touch them and feed them something. What she liked the most was a group of giraffes and elephants. Just out of curiosity, I asked her why they are her cup of tea. Her answer was that their long neck and nose looked really funny. She imitated their gestures for a fairly long time. Now, I post up one picture that I took with my lovely daughter here in this bulletin board as the proof of my summer story. These days, as I get older, I do think about what real happiness means or where it lies. From this sort of a small but precious moment with my family, I realized again that happiness is not far away but very next to where I belong. My wish for her is, like all parents, to grow well and then have a meaningful life not only for herself but also for her neighbors. I sincerely hope all of you have a happy life with your beloved people as well. Thank you for reading and watching my summer story to the end.
P.S : Please reply to me whether or not my baby resembles me quite well~

Lowrie, I posted up my summer story to apply for a multi-contest this year.
Please review and give me your feedback with your nice corrections for my writing.
Thank you in advance and I didn't attach a picture that I took with my baby.
I will share it with you later. I'm still looking for a perfect photo that matches the story
