Experience:

 

After-School Program Activities Coordinator, 2012 - Present, Sabin Elementary, Portland, OR,  Part-time position.

I assist in the day-to-day functions and tasks of running a 4-day a week, 2.5 hour after-school program in NE Portland.

I instruct and manage groups of children ranging in ages 5-12 in a public school setting. I am CPR-trained. I have organizational responsibilities and complete data entry for attendance statistics.

 

Puppeteer – 2012 - Present Metro, Portland, OR

I serve as a puppeteer in the Waste Reduction Education Program at Metro, the regional government for the Portland-metro area. Puppet shows cover topics such as: composting, natural gardens, and recycling. We perform for Kindergarten through 3rd grade students throughout the school week. Responsibilities include puppet upkeep, driving, sound system equipment know-how, loading medium-sized sets, and performance singing.

Drama Instructor, 2011 – 2012 Sabin Elementary, Portland, OR Using my own curriculum & direction skills

I execute one production per eight week session featuring students attending the SUN after-school program. I teach two drama courses: Drama (Production) for grades 3rd-6th and Drama Games for grades K-2nd. Class sizes range from 7-20 students. We are currently in rehearsal for our third production, Cinderella Bigfoot. I have recently begun to lead a course on singing and the voice as well. Actress/Performer, 2010 - Present, Mt. Hood Railroad Excursion Trains, Hood River, OR

Using improvisation, costumes, storylines and audience participation, a troupe of actors and I entertain train patrons during the course of a 3-hour dinner train tour through the Hood River Valley.
