Hello, Megan !!
This is Lucy's father, Mr Song.
I'm very glad to contact you by e-mail.
During the class, I saw you on computer and your impression is very good.
Lucy also used to say, she is very good because you always listen her speaking very carefully with smile.
So she want to study with you for a long time.
I think Lucy is very good student learning english because she is reading many english books , and watching many sitcom of USA whenever she had a free time. She always try to study english.
And we are regulary check her english level by using some test that is junior TOEIC.
Her level is not bad, but there is no improvement that I mean level up compare with last year.
The weak point of her is
1. Summarise the subject of sentence
2. Vocabulary
I read your comments (Score card ?) for Lucy, Lucy is generally good.
Lucy have confidence in english, and like learning english.
I think the most important thing learning english is the interesting !!
Ms Megan, please teach the english to Lucy who have more interesting like now, and if she have any problem, don't hesitate speaking to me.
Best regards.
Mr. Song
Dear Mr. Song,
Thank you for your letter.
Lucy is one of the best students because she studies on her own and shows genuine interest. Her recent score card was not being compared to her prior score cards. The scoring is based on that month only. I do not solely use the score card to check her improvement because it is too simple. Lucy has improved since I first met her and has impressive summarization skills with her current books, TOEFL Reading Building and TOEFL Writing Building. These books are helping her improve her vocabulary at an intermediate rate and preparing her for the TOEFL exam. These tests are used for American university admission and can be too difficult for younger students. However, her conversation skills are very strong for her age group.
I know Lucy will gain a very high English score by the time she is admitted to university.
I am so happy that Lucy is interested in lesson and in knowledge!
Sincerely,
Megan Adams
