Hi John. Many thanks for your prompt feedback. It has been a great help. Here is my 3rd essay. (Task2, Test 1, Cambridge Ielts book8)

The idea that children education is significant in society has been generally accepted. Children should learn to be grown-ups who are responsible as good members of society through proper education and training. However, whether parents are more responsible for children education than schools or not is quite controversial among many people.

Among them, some people insist that parents should take main role as educators for their children with various reasons. First, children spend the most of their time with their parents and tend to immitate the ways how their parents speak and behave; therefore, parents should make an effort to be good examples for thier children. Another reason is that parents are the only ones who can control over children. Recent survey shows that more than 80 percent of teachers at public schools replied that children who are not controlled by their parents are out of control by teachers as well. It is probable that an uncontrollable child can grow as an adult who does not follow the rules and laws of the society in the future.

While the idea that parent's education is important is prevailing, there is a different opinion that school is much more important for socializing children. The main reason is because school is a professional and educational organization, unlikely to parents who are responsible not only for education, but also for everything needed for raising children. Most of all, school is the place where children experience society for the first time. How to begin as a member of society is very critical for children.

In conclusion, it cannot be denied that both parents and schools are important. Parents should always try to be good examples of their children, and schools should take a responsiblity for providing quality education and training so that children can grow as great members of society.
