English Teacher: EUREKA: The Learning Centre, Montevideo, Uruguay

September 2014 – April 2015

• Trained students for numerous International English Exams; IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT, FCE, CPE and BEC.

o Improved the GMAT scores of three individual students from mid-600s to 700+.

• Taught In-Company Business English classes in several financial institutions including BROU, a national bank of Uruguay.

• Delivered conversation classes to groups and individuals at B2 and C1 levels.

• Translated documents from Spanish to English, including a project for the Uruguayan Ministry of Tourism.


English Teacher: NEW START: Language Solutions for Businesses, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

June 2014 – September 2014

• Taught English in several multinational corporations in a variety of industries, including Chevron Corporation and Deloitte.

• Successfully trained students for International English Exams TOEFL and IELTS. o Students achieved TOEFL iBT scores of 108 and 111 o Students achieved IELTS score bands 7 and 8.

• Used a wide selection of course books combined with my own resources.


English Teacher: SEVILLE SCHOOL OF ENGLISH: Speak Your Mind, Seville, Spain

January 2014 – June 2014

• Underwent intensive training of the SYM methodology, a communicative teaching method consisting of a series of questions and answers.

• Was one of two teachers of a newly formed school, level testing to a very accurate level before forming groups of similarly tested students.

• Taught students from the age of 7 up to the age of 65, across levels from complete beginner to C2, using a combination of the SYM methodology and my own intuition. 


English Teacher: SAKARYA UNIVERSITY: Continuing Education Centre, Sakarya, Turkey

November 2013 – January 2014

• Taught English as a second language to Turkish Adults between the ages of 18 and 60.

• Created lessons in accordance with the Headway English syllabus at the Intermediate and Pre-Intermediate levels, while using my own engaging activities related to the target language.

• Developed students’ speaking skills through conversation classes for groups of up to 15 students.

August 2013 – September 2013

• Taught English to classes of up to 15 Spanish students, aged between 6 and 14 years old, of varying standards of English.

• Prepared and delivered engaging and educational lessons that significantly developed the students’ English language skills.

• Used my initiative, imagination and creativity as well as good organization of my work, in delivering a syllabus that covered a variety of English grammar and vocabulary.

June – August 2010

● Planned and led a full activity timetable for groups of up to 40 European students visiting the UK for two to three weeks at a time.

● Assisted senior staff team with administration and finance management.


Student Monitor: AMERICAN SCHOOL IN LONDON AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM, London, UK

September 2008 – June 2009

• Ran after-school classes of activities such as gymnastics, arts & crafts, chess and football, for children of over 40 nationalities, between the ages of 4 and 16, many of who spoke no English.

• Transported groups of up to 30 children around London, using both coaches and public transport.

○ French: B1. Studied French for five years in school

○ Portuguese: A2. Lived in Brazil for three months

○ German: A2. Studied German for two years in school.
