Punctuation Devils are mischievous little pests who crop up in the most unusual places – but most commonly in student’s homework.  They often eat punctuation marks from places where they do belong and spit them out into places where they do not belong, causing confusion to no end (and ultimately a bad grade on your homework).

Note: The rules can be relaxed for informal or casual writing, say for when you are texting friends or writing in an online forum.  However, be careful that bad habits from casual writing does not spill over into formal occasions.
