When I was in Chicago, I enjoyed spending time with my children staking on the skating rink and sledding down the hill. After I came back to Korea, I was trying to find some place for skating or sledding, but I couldn't find any suitable place nearby my house. Lately, I heard the news that an outdoor skating rink has been established in front of the Worldcup Stadium in Seoul, which is just ten minutes driving distance from my house. So, I decided to visit that place with my children on a Saturday . When I was on the skating rink, unfortunately, due to the exceptional warm weather, the ice was about to melt down and so the ice quality was not good for skating. But I didn't want to let my children down, so I asked the manager to let us in. But, as I expected, he turned down my request saying that due to the poor ice quality, any skating would damage the skating rink. So, I had no choice but to look around the stadium facilities neighboring the skating rink with my sons. After I spent one hour watching the stadium with my children, I found that something unexpected was happening on the skating rink. There were a lot of people skating or sledding on the skating rink in question. What happened to the rink? When I approached the rink, I could get a clear answer for that question. In front of the ice rink, several guys were carrying some cameras and they were taping the people on the rink. They were TV reporters. I noticed that while the reporters were taping the rink, the rink manager looked a bit worried about something. Why? Due to the warm weather, the ice rink was damaged by the people on the rink. The truth is that he didn't want the TV reporters to go away without taping his ice rink, even though his skating rink had been damaged seriously. From this incident I realized once more that Korea is one of the countries the Journalists are dominating all parts of our society. Oh my goodness, I also realized that I was skating around the reporters in the hope of getting some chance to be interviewed by those reporters.
