Until high school I thought Christmas was one of the most important days to me. I don't know why. I have never had a boyfriend at Christmas time! Never Ever! Always close to Christmas day, I always split/break up with my boyfriend right before Christmas. And after Christmas or closer to New Years day sometimes we could get back together but not always. My Christmas Curse! Maybe this Christmas I will have a pajama party with my friends at a 한옥 (han-ock) where we will barbeque and drink Christmas wine from Germany. We will also dance there and keep drinking a lot. I've done it once before, and it was really good. After this Christmas party/event, I will think about the New Years Day gathering. On New Years Eve, I have to prepare a lot of food for the next day because it is a Korean tradition. 망년회 (mung nyung huae) happens before New Years Day. On New Years Day, all the family members get together and talk about their New Year plans. My New Year plan is to work at a lab and study either brain cancer or immunology at a top University in Korea to which I have already been accepted. Next March, my family will travel to Cambodia. I think the next year will be more exciting and promising than this year.
