When I was twelve, I went to Singapore for a short trip. It is a wonderful place to visit because the country is clean, very developed, and the people are nice. We started at Incheon International Airport and we arrived at Singapore’s Changi International Airport. It was late at night when we arrived, so we couldn’t do much.
We checked in at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and I bought some ramen from a convenience store. It tasted like fish, but it was not to my taste! I ate it and I slept.
On the first full day in Singapore, I went to Jurong Aviary (a zoo that only holds birds). The coolest things I saw were the flamingoes, but they had some kind of disgusting smell. That night I went on a safari, even though I thought the line was too long for me to wait. When I finally took a ride, I saw wild animals that had never been caught and put in cages. It was very different from a safari in my country.
On the second day we went to Sentosa Island. We took a taxi over the bridge. When we arrived, we got off the taxi and got on a bus to go into the center of the island. I saw the monorail above my head, moving at medium speed. I wanted to ride it but we didn’t have time. We walked down a road into a forest. It was tiring for me to walk. But I saw an ice cream stand and I ate some chocolate cookie ice cream. And then I felt tired again. I got on the monorail and left Sentosa Island.
On the third day I went to Little India and I saw many different kinds of Indian toys and Buddhist temples. I continued into Little India, and I saw houses where people dried their laundry on strings.
Overall, it was a hot, but fun, vacation. I would like to return any time!
