Hello, my name is Joseph and this is my winter story.

When I was in third grade my family and I went to Ghana (a country in Africa) for winter vacation. It was hot and dry and the water was a little dirty. I saw a baby lion and a cheetah and about a million zebras.

I thought the people in Africa were very friendly because some kids in Ghana promised to help me when I was lost. But, then things went crazy…

The kids brought me to the hotel and followed me inside. In the light I could see the truth… the kids that had helped me were really zombies!  They had no eyeballs, two of them didn’t have any legs! Their skin was gray and dying and they had sharp teeth. They didn’t walk well, in fact, they moved so slowly that I could run away. I ran to the lobby screaming “HELLLLLLLLP!!!”

The people in the room screamed and evacuated the building. I went to find my family, but they weren’t in the hotel room. I needed to protect myself from the zombies, so I went to the Safari equipment room to get some tools. I got a bow with some arrows, a bottle of water, some rice, and some foods like steaks and hamburgers. I knew the work of killing zombies and running around Ghana would make me hungry! Next, I went to the hotel stables to get a horse to ride. The horse was brown and very fast.

I got on the horse and rode away from the hotel. I rode into a village full of zombies. I shot arrows at the zombies, killing most of them. However, as I was leaving, one of the zombies (the smartest one) jumped up and bit my horse. We rode off, but after 1 hour the horse's teeth became sharp, his skin became gray, and he whinnied loudly--bucking me off. He ran into the desert.

I started walking back to the hotel. Finally, I found my parents…

    Unfortunately, they were already zombies!

THE END
