My favorite movie is Inside Out. The movie is about Riley, a young girl whose family recently moved to San Francisco. It is very difficult moving to a new city. Riley has to make new friends and study at a new school. Her father has a new job and he has no time to hang out with Riley.

When I was nine my family moved from Namyangju to Seoul. I liked Namyangju and I had a lot of friends there, so moving was a little hard. I didn’t want to move. Seoul was so big and even though I liked my new apartment, I missed my friends in Namyangju. On my first day of school I met a new friend after just one hour. Now, I like Seoul but I still miss my friends in Namyangju.

In the movie we get to see Riley’s emotions; Sadness, Joy, Disgust, Anger, and Fear. All of the emotions are important. Fear is important because it helps keep you safe. Disgust protects us from dirty things. Anger helps us when things go wrong. Joy makes us smile and feel good. Sadness might not seem important but it is necessary.

My favorite part of the movie is when Joy and Sadness get lost in long term memory and have to get back to Headquarters. At first, Joy doesn’t like Sadness but she learns why Sadness is important. Nobody likes to be sad, but if we didn’t have sadness we wouldn’t have joy.
