Hello, my name is Joseph and this is my Percy Jackson story.
Percy was in the demigod’s camp. The demigods were practicing magical abilities. Percy was near the lake working on controlling water. He was able to turn the water into swords, shields, and arrows, but needed work on transportation bubbles.
Then, suddenly, the leader of the camp came and gave Percy, as well as Athena’s daughter, Annabeth, and their saytr friend Grover, an important mission.
“Zeus has given you three a mission: the mission is to find Hercules, who has been behaving strangely, and bring him back to Olympus.”
Altogether the three young heroes said “Whaaaat!?” and then Percy added “But, b-but he is the most powerful demigod!”
Annabeth, who was always tough and practical, asked “Why is Hercules acting so strangely, what does that even mean?”
The leader explained, “Zeus believes that Hercules has fallen in love with Medusa”
Again the three young demigods said, “Whaaaat!?”
Annabeth said, “didn’t we killed Medusa?”
Percy said, “Annabeth is right—we did kill her. And how weird that a demigod would love her.”
Grover filled them in, “Maybe Hades planned all of this. He might have stolen one of Cupid’s arrows to shoot Hercules and made Hercules look at a photograph of Medusa—that would explain the strange love story.
The camp leader agreed. “That’s what they believe up on Mount Olympus,” he said.
So Annabeth, Grover, and Percy went to the underworld using Percy’s transportation bubbles. Finally, they met Hades. But he acted innocent, so they forced him to eat magical truth-telling potion. That potion removed the ability to tell lies.
After giving the potion time to take effect, they asked him if he had “forced Hercules to fall in love with Medusa.” Hades said, "Yes, I did. I forced Cupid to shoot his arrow at Hercules and made him look at the Medusa's photograph."
“Why?!” asked Grover?
“Because I HATE Hercules and Zeus! Hercules killed my daughter! It’s only right for him to live the rest of his life as a slave to her in the Underworld.”
The demigods understood what they had to do then. They asked Hades where to find Hercules and Medusa. Hades didn’t want to answer, but he had no choice. “He’s in the City of the Dead.”
So the three demigods went to the City of the Dead to find Hercules. The city of the dead was filled with dead souls. Grover was scared. They asked one soul “Did you seen any living people here?”
“Yes, he lives in that mansion,” replied a dead soul, pointing a ghostly finger at a brand new black mansion at the edge of the city.
So the three demigods went to the mansion and walked inside. They asked the housekeeper “Where can we find the living man’s room?”
“It’s over there,” gasped the dead housekeeper, pointing up the stairs. They used another potion, a sleeping potion this time, to drug Hercules and drag him back to the real world.
Thank you for listening to my story. Goodbye!
