Hi, my name is Samantha. I am 10 years old. I’d like to talk about my summer in the USA. Last summer, my family went to Disney Land in California. We rode a lot of rides. But I will never forget the Flume Ride, I think we really enjoyed it a lot. Before we rode the flume boat, I hesitated a lot because the ride looked very scary to me. I saw people all wet like wet mice. But I finally decided to try it. Oh, no! Something happened during the ride, my father lost his favorite hat. When we were going down in the flume boat, the hat suddenly flew away. We tried to find it later, but we couldn’t find it anywhere. I think it was a very expensive hat. We got very wet, of course, especially my sister Judith. We had to dry our socks and shoes.
A few years ago, when I went to the amusement park, “Everland” in Korea, I never tried scary rides like the Flume Ride, there. But last summer I tried it in Disney Land which was a lot of fun. I was so proud of myself.
I know there are still some very scary rides I haven’t tried like a really big roller coaster that goes up and down rapidly, but I will try them some day, too. Anyway, last summer was the funniest and happiest one in my life! And I'm now saving money to buy the same hat for my father. I would like to surprise him with it on his birthday, July 3rd. I can already imagine how happy my father would be.
