The social skills students learn while interacting with others at school is more important than academic learning. I agree with the statement that while at school, students should acquire the social skills first than learn the academic skills first.

First of all, if uninformed about the interactions with others, it might cause problems to students’ future. Not being alert about the social problems they may cause, they will cause problems with others constantly, and won’t be able to find a solution to these kind of problems. The students who acquired academic skills very well but who did not learn the social skills may get a good career. However, they will soon make social problems with their co-workers, and they will have hard time seeking solution about these since the students did not the social skills, when learned by interacting with others.

Second of all, by the time the current generation of students become get jobs, the machines and programs will replace most of the jobs which only needs academic skills. As the time goes by, more and more jobs are replaced by artificial intelligences and machines. The jobs which only requires academic skills are not the exceptions with this flow of the fourth industrial revolution, since these are the easiest job that the machines can handle, such as remembering information. The jobs that will survive until the time these students get job is the jobs for those who acquired the skills.

To sum up, while some people think that academic learning is the most important thing, I think that the social skills students learn is more important than the academic skills. This is because students will suffer from the consequences caused by being uninformed about the social skills. Also , this is because the academic skills will be unnecessary, and the skills learn when interacting with others will be more important in the future.
