The Snowball Fight

Troy

Snowball fights where I live are rare and few. However, last year my friends and I had the opportunity to have a fun snowball fight. Ulsan, South Korea, is located near the ocean, so snow does not fall very hard where I live. My friends and I decided to take advantage of the special day.

I decided to take my dog, Mong-Shil, to the park to meet my friends. It was the second time that Mong-Shil saw snow, and she was very excited to play in it. I walked around a bit while I waited for my friends to show up. It was then I decided to play a joke on my friend, Tae-Un. I took a ball of crisp, white, snow and put it on the back of his neck and shoved it down his jacket. Tae-Un whipped around from the surprise of the wet, cold snow sliding down his back, and he started to yell at me.  It was then he grabbed his own ball of snow and chased Mong-Shil and I around the park, trying to get me back. However, he never succeeded.

Our other friends showed up at the park and saw Tae-Un desperately trying to shove snow down my jacket, and they decided to join in on the fun. They all ran after Mong-Shil and I until they got some snow down my back. I grabbed another snow ball and threw it at Tae-Un and Hyo-Gin. The snow ball fight began. We all threw snow balls at each other until we were too tired to play anymore. We then decided to rest and go sledding down the hills at the park.

When I got home, the skin on my hands was so cold that it felt hot to touch things at room temperature. My skin started stinging when I tried to wash them with warm water. I then had a glass of warm milk to make my body feel more comfortable. It was a fun day, and I hoped that I would get to play in the snow with my friends the next day, but I came down with a cold from playing too hard. I never got a chance to play in the snow again before it melted.
