Last summer vacation, I went to Jeju Island and I rode a ship with my family. I arrived at Jeju Island at night and I went to a hotel. I ate a fish dinner. I had gone to Jeju Island once before when I was younger. At first, I didn't remember Jeju Island. The next morning, my family woke up early because we were going go to Udo Island. Udo Island is next to Jeju Island. Udo Island's scenery is very beautiful. There was a lot of green grass and rocks. We saw Udo Island and then we left. The next place we went to was a volcanic rock cave. That place is a formed lava cave. The cave is very cold so we wore long shirts. There was a lot of stalactite there.

Then we went to Mt. Sunrise at Sungsan. This place is very famous because of being a world Natural Heritage. Next, my family went back to the hotel. The hotel is next to a waterfall. The waterfall’s name is Cheonjiyeon. It is Jeju Island's famous waterfall. The waterfall is very beautiful. Already, there were too many people there when we arrived. And so we went to another waterfall. But we didn’t see the waterfall because it is too dangerous at night. Eventually, we went to the hotel. We never did see the waterfall.

The next morning we went to Jungmun. This place is, I think, Jeju Island’s most beautiful place. There are a lot of famous hotels here. There are many hotels in front of the beach. So my brother and I went swimming. After we went swimming, we went for dinner. We ate mackerel.

Lately I heard that Jeju island was chosen as one of The World's Top Seven Sceneries in Nature and Jeju Island was the world's first to win three gold medals from UNESCO in the field of natural environment. So I always think being born in Korea is good luck for me. Jeju Island is one of our proud heritages. We appreciate all that we have.
