“The Dolphin l Love”
Hello! My name is Yoon. Today I’m going tell you about a funny story that happened to me when I was at the beach.
It was a hot, sunny summer day and my family (my mom, my dad, my grandma, my grandpa, and my uncle) went for a swim. I’ll tell you exactly what happened:
The beach was a little crowded. People sat on tubes, made sandcastles, and relaxed. My uncle and I decided to swim, so I got ready to go snorkeling. My uncle wore a one piece swimsuit that was sky blue from head to toe.
“Uncle Bob, where did you buy your suit?” I asked, not sure what to say by the looks of him.
“It looks cool, right?” he laughed. ”I look like a dolphin.”
My uncle’s laugh is very loud, because he is fat. I took a second look at him, sighed, and waded into the water. For a moment, I saw beautiful fish and an amazing coral reef. Then, I was interrupted by a frantic voice shouting, “A dolphin! Look! A dolphin!”
I looked up to see what the man was talking about. All I saw was my uncle swimming about two meters away. I walked out of the water, confused. Everyone was looking towards the direction the man was pointing. Still, all I could see was my uncle swimming.
My mom’s eyes became huge. “That’s not a dolphin.” She said. “That’s your uncle!” They had mistaken my uncle for a dolphin just because he wore a blue full-body swimsuit! Still, many people seemed to be confused.
Suddenly, uncle Bob stood up and said, “What’s going on?” That’s when all the people started to laugh. My uncle was still frowning, but I was so busy laughing, I couldn’t explain.
That was what happened to me last summer. I still make fun of my uncle for that incident. The story has become a good tale to tell at family dinners. Thank you for listening. Bye!
