Teacher: Carrie

Last winter vacation, I went to Kingston, Canada for two months to learn English. I lived with a home-stay family. There was a mother who had a baby and a younger sister and brother named Maya and Ben.

Maya and Ben were always fighting because they were troublemakers, but they were cute and enjoyed playing with me. My home-stay father was very busy but when he came home, he always taught me English so that I could improve my English. The school I attended was called The Bridge School. I had many friends there, but  I specifically remember Tiff and Ashley. They helped me, explained what the teacher was saying, and played with me. I had fun with them at school.

My home-stay family had a snow slide. There was a lot of snow and it was very high-up, but I ran up it quickly to go down first. When I went down, I had a snow fight with Maya and Ben. It was very fun.

I had so much fun with my new friends and home-stay family when I was in Canada. Now, I can speak English better than in the past.
