Every year I go to a winter camp and I always bring my little cousin, HyunTae. Last winter we got on a bus and went to a ski resort. The problem was HyunTae didn't really know how to ski. We practiced together on the easy hill for a while but it was so flat and I wanted a thrill, so I went to the difficult part of the mountain. After about 40 minutes I realized, 'OH NO', I had forgotten all about Hyun Tae! I went back to the bottom of the mountain again, but I couldn’t find him anywhere!
Finally, I rode the chairlift up and slid slowly down the mountain looking all around for HyunTae through my big bug-eyed goggles. I was nervous until I got to the bottom and I saw him sitting on a bench crying. I felt terrible! So I bought him a big sausage to eat. I blinked and when I opened my eyes the whole sausage was gone! For a second I thought I had fallen asleep, but he just ate it THAT fast.
The next big winter camp adventure was an ATV ride on the snowy mountain near the camp. We drove all the way to the summit and we saw all the beautiful icy mountains around us. From the top we drove down the mountain at lightning speed. It was thrilling but it also made me nervous, so I held on to the driver very tightly.
After that, the camp leader told us it was time to go home. Camp is always fun but I also feel happy to return home each year. Overall I think winter is a good season to go to camp and try exciting new things.
