Lucy's Winter Story: A Special Letter
When I was young, my family, including my aunt and her husky dogs went skiing. They were adults, but I was only seven, so I couldn't ski because it was too dangerous for a child. So instead I stayed in the lodge and played with my aunt’s dogs on the playground. The dogs were familiar to me, because I would play with them whenever I went to my aunt's house. There were many children playing there. The dogs took me for a ride in their sled. I was scared and excited to ride on the sled. This time, they took me for a ride on their sled near the woods. They pulled me on their sled. There were so many trees that you couldn’t see through them. They were very close together. In the woods, I saw the real Santa, but I was so scared that I went back to the playground. Later I made a snowman in the shape of Santa. I think that he was away from his home, because it was Christmas Eve. That day, Santa gave presents to all of the kids at the resort.
When we went back to our room in the resort, I was tired, so I went to bed. The next morning, I woke up and I was surprised because there was a letter from Santa in front of the Christmas tree!
(Letter) Dear Lucy-DaYoung,
Thank you so much!
What a wonderful snowman that is!
From,
Santa
