A year ago, my puppy Raulf and I sat in the yard, enjoying the fresh air. The yard wasn't fenced. Raulf was so young that he chased whoever caught his attention. So I had to grab a lead on his neck. But when I was off my guard, he just ran away chasing something in the forest. I called him but it was no good calling. I tried to catch up with the dog.
However, the forest was too dense to get in. It was useless doing that. I worried that he could be trapped by some trees and attacked by other wild animals. For two hours I searched outside of the forest calling him.
Night was falling. I was fighting tears but was too exhausted and laid on the bed. He didn't appear barking from far away running toward my house like the movies. I tried to look on the positive side. Somebody could have found him and Raulf is having a happy life.
