There are lots of exciting things that we can do in summer vacation in Korea such as go swimming to a nice emerald beach or river, camping in a national park or mountain where there are thousands of trees growing densely together, and hitting the amusement parks that provide us with excitement through a variety of rides and shows. Wherever we go, it’ll be very fun and happy. Even though there are so many exiting things I can do through my summer vacation, I would like to do something more special and memorable: help the farmhouses that are damaged by flood and heavy rain.

Every year when the rainy season comes, farmers suffer from the excessive amount of water that sinks and damages the crops. Although the farmers expect the bad weather, they can’t do much because they don’t have many devices or materials that can protect all of the crops from the heavy rain and flood. The best way for them is to move each crop to a safe place and plant them back when the rainy season is over. In order to do so, it takes a lot of human effort. Thus, I would like to help them to preserve our own crops to make people enjoy Korean delicious crops instead of imported ones. It won’t be easy and exciting, but it will be a very memorable and meaningful experience for me to understand the efforts of the farmers and appreciate the food that we can easily buy from the markets.
