The ancient gods, Horus and Anubis, fought between the pyramids. It was a sacred (special with religious power) place where their powers were strongest. Anubis was fighting with a scythe, while Horus used a human army and his sword.

       For a moment, the human army distracted Anubis. The silver scythe sparkled in the moonlight as Horus thrust his sword in Anubis' stomach.

         “Aggghhhhhhh!”

        A human in Horus' army yelled, “Now it's the Age of Humanity!” and all the rest of the soldiers screamed their support. The human that yelled picked up Anubis' scythe and suddenly the symbol of Anubis appeared on his shoulder in blood-red. Horus tried to stop him, but it was too late! The leader of the humans had absorbed Anubis' mighty power. He signaled the rest of the human army and they turned on Horus; they yelled in unison and ran toward Horus with their swords and spears raised.

Horus barely escaped, but using his powers as the god of the sky, he flew away with his shining, golden wings. He went to the sun to meet his grandfather, Ra.

        Horus flew to a golden island that floated up in the sky, so high up he was almost in space. Around the island was fire, instead of water, and the only living thing on it was Ra.

“Grandfather," he said, "the humans have banished us! They have taken Anubis' scythe and one of the humans has absorbed Anubis' power. We have to stop them!

        Ra said, “There will be no morning until the battle ends.”

        While Horus went to the other gods and they prepared for the battle, the humans used fire to see their way to the temple of Ra. They said to Ra, “Please hear us lord Ra! Why are you unfair to us?"

        Ra's voice was powerful and manly, he said, “You’re right, it’s time for the age of humanity to begin. I will send the gods to another universe!”

         So, the gods knew that Ra had banished them. They tried to stop Ra, but he was too powerful. Thus, humans took over the Earth.
