WEEK of 1/25

Homework: Please write 4-5 sentences using the email vocabulary on page 74-75. Look at the pages to help with sentence structure and grammar. First write in past tense (opened, sent, forwarded) then write the sentences again in present tense (open, send, forward) if you have time (if not we will do this together in class :).

EXAMPLE (in past tense) Yesterday I opened up my email account. I entered the password and checked the new messages in my inbox. I received a memo from my boss for my department. I forwarded the message to my colleagues and closed my inbox.

EXAMPLE (in present tense) I come into the office and open my email account. I enter my password and check the new messages in my inbox. I receive a memo from my boss for my department. I forward the message to my colleagues and close my inbox.

WEEK of 1/16

Homework: Please write a short paragraph (4 or 5 sentences) about a visit to see someone (example: mother/father, brother, friend, co-worker). Who was there? Did you return to your hometown? What did you do (eat a meal or drink, take a walk, play a game)?  How did you feel?  What did they say? Use your book (page 8 "The Visit," page 11 "Family," etc.) for useful vocabulary or phrases. Please be careful about the verb tense or form (present, past, future) (example: go, went, will go) pick one tense and use it in the every sentence.

EXAMPLE (in past tense): Last weekend I went to my hometown to visit my mother. My sister was home and we made a delicious dinner together. After dinner we took a walk. I felt very happy. When I left I said "Thank you for inviting me" and my mom said "It was our pleasure!"
