1, Your passport: Please take a picture of your passport (or Driver's license). One should see the name, the photo and the signature in the photo. If you scan it, it would be even better.

2. I have sent you a contract, please print and fill out the contract and sign it. Your address should be the same one as on your bank account.

3. Then take the photo: a photo of the  the two pages together. (So one can see the whole contract in one picture.)   

English Aloud Teacher Contract

1. The teacher should be available a minimum of three (3) hours a day, Monday-Friday (all five days). When a teacher becomes unavailable for this amount of time, the teacher may have to stop teaching for our school. This is a general rule, but there are a few exceptions.

2. The Center will send the teacher’s payment for the current month by the fifth (5th) of the following month. For example if the teacher starts teaching September 1st, the   payment for September will be sent by October 5th.

3. When a teacher must stop teaching for our school, they must tell the Center two weeks in advance, so that the Center can find a replacement teacher for the students. If a teacher stops teaching immediately, they will not receive the bonus rates of payment, but only the basic rate. In this case other teachers would get a higher bonus rates. 

4. A teacher can play the role as a distributor of payment. The Center sends the money to this teacher and the teacher resends it to other teachers through the teacher’s bank in the country where the teacher lives. If there is a problem, contact the Center and the Center can help resolve it and send the payment again if necessary. The teachers must be helpful in resolving these problems as well, before the Center can resend the payment.

5. The student pays school fees, which can be discounted. If the student's fee is discounted, the Center will pay the additional amount to compensate for the discounted amount. The teacher receives the same payment whether or not the student's fee is discounted.

6. Our teaching hours are from 7pm-11:30pm (Korean time). Teachers cannot teach other students outside of EnglishAloud during that time.

7. In the following cases, if the student decides to leave our school, the teacher's contract can be terminated immediately or after two weeks:

a) If a teacher is doing something other than teaching during the lesson (typing, instant messaging, other work, etc.) repeatedly.

b) A teacher cannot submit valid certification (University diploma).

c) If a teacher continues to lose most of their students, the teacher may be asked not to return the following month.

8. It is the duty of the teacher to disclose important information to the Center that will affect their teaching. (Example: making a change to the schedule with a student.)

Terms:

The Center - this refers to our main office in Korea. The Center is in charge of finding new students, making payments, etc.

Our teachers - this term refers to the teachers at our school, who are usually living in the USA or Canada and teach the students over the internet.
