A year ago my puppy Raulf and I sat in the yard, enjoying the fresh air. The yard wasn't fenced. Raulf was so young that he chased whatever caught his attention. So I always had to put a lead on his neck to prevent him from running away. But one day when I was off my guard, he just ran away chasing something in the forest. I called him but there was no answer at all. So I tried to catch up with the dog. However, I could not do anything, because the forest was too dense to get in. It was useless. I was worried that he could be trapped in the forest and maybe attacked by wild animals. For two hours I tired to find him outside of the forest and was calling his name repeatedly. But night was falling. I was fighting back tears but I was too exhausted and had to lay in bed. I imagined him barking from far away and running toward my house like a dream. But he never returned. I tried to look on the positive side. Later somebody found him, at least Raulf had a happy life.
