ZIIING--bullets shot from guns! KLANG--swords hit armor! The fighting was underway on Planet Larvus.
One Week Later:
All of the families and men were tired, very tired! Suddenly the leader of the strange men showed his face. He was Miles' dad's old friend! Miles' dad said “What are you doing here?!”
The friend said “I was always second and you were first, I will beat you and become first!”
“Ryan, Why did you do this? We had great times when we were friends!”
“But I NEED to be first!”
“First and second is not important. How you make the world better is what's important. Can you be my friend again?”
“No! I must defeat you!”
“But why?! We can play and have fun without fighting when you become friends with me again.”
“I’m sorry I can’t,” Ryan said. There is more to this than me needing to be first. I am on a mission. This planet, Larvus, has an ancient ruin. I was sent by my father Ranzyalon to find it and bring back an ancient treasure. My dad, the king says this planet has ancient treasure, like a cup.
“Oh this?” Mile's father said, holding up a small gold cup. This is only our grandfather's, grandfather's, grandfather's [great-great-grandfather's] cup. Do you think this is the treasure?
“Yes, that is it! My dad says it has a great healing power.”
“A ha!” Miles' dad replied. “Your father is a clever man. This cup has the power to make a drink that is delicious and good for the body.”
“Then, can I borrow it? My dad wants it very much.”
“I can lend it to you, but when will you return it?
“In about two weeks I will come here and give it back to you.”
At King Ranzyalon’s house:
Dad said “You've gotten it my good son!”
“Let’s drink it dad,” answered Ryan.
It was secret, but they both had a strange sickness.
They drank the drink and the sickness was gone.
Two weeks later, at Miles’s house:
Knock, knock.
“Who is it?” said Miles.
“It's Ryan.”
“Dad, your friend!”
“Ok. Hell......are you really Ryan?
“Yes, of course. Oh, my face? I look different because of your cup. Here you are.”
“You are very handsome now.”
“Thank you.”
Finally they played, and played, and played—living happily ever after.
Moral: Sometimes when you want something very much, talking works better than fighting!
The End.
